About ABC Transaxsions
Experience that shapes how we do business.
ABC Transaxsions is a veteran owned petroleum commodity brokerage based in Pocatello, Idaho. Led by Brian La Dieu, we help buyers, sellers and authorised representatives explore commercial opportunities in petroleum products.
Our role is to bring the right parties into a clear conversation: what is required, who represents it, which terms matter and what needs to happen next.
About ABC Transaxsions
Petroleum brokerage with a practical approach.
A product enquiry is only the beginning of a transaction. Progress depends on understanding the requirement, establishing who has authority and determining whether the parties can work within a compatible commercial process.
ABC facilitates that conversation.
We work with enquiries involving EN590 diesel, Jet A1 aviation fuel and D6 fuel oil. We help clarify requirements, connect relevant parties and support communication as an opportunity develops.
Our business is brokerage and trade facilitation. Product availability, specifications and commercial commitments are established by the authorised parties for each transaction.

Meet Brian La Dieu
Brian La Dieu
President, ABC Transaxsions, LLC
Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Navy, Retired
Brian brings a background in naval service, maintenance leadership and operational management to his work in petroleum brokerage.
Enlisted
Nuclear qualified Electrician's Mate
The start of a 30 year Navy career in electrical and reactor systems.
1999
Chief Petty Officer
Progressed through the enlisted ranks to Chief.
Commissioned
Limited Duty Officer Program
Earned a commission and served 17 years as an officer.
Retired
Lieutenant Commander
Service aboard six nuclear aircraft carriers, alongside assignments at Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Naval Base Kitsap.
These were environments where preparation mattered, responsibility was personal and a missed detail could affect far more than the task immediately in front of you.
Experience beyond the title.
Across his maintenance and engineering career, Brian led more than one million hours of work spanning electrical, mechanical and electronic systems.
His experience includes complex maintenance programmes, nuclear reactor operations and new construction projects. During a major refuelling overhaul, he helped resolve a resource constraint by shifting 3,000 labour hours to internal resources, producing approximately $1.5 million in federal cost savings.
- 1M+

At ABC, that experience informs his approach to commercial relationships: understand the facts, clarify responsibility, ask the necessary questions and follow through.
How we work
The standards behind our work.
Four expectations we hold ourselves to, and ask of every party we introduce.
Integrity
Be accurate about the opportunity, your authority and what remains unconfirmed. Trust begins with information that can stand up to scrutiny.
Preparation
Understand the product requirement and commercial context before approaching another party. A complete enquiry makes a useful conversation possible.
Clear communication
Make responsibilities, questions and next steps explicit. Important details should not depend on assumptions or messages passed through an unclear chain.
Accountability
Take ownership of your part in the process. Raise concerns early and keep the relevant people informed as circumstances change.

The 7 Principles of Maintenance Excellence
What makes an operation reliable when equipment, people and pressure come together?
In his upcoming book, Brian examines the behaviours and working standards that help maintenance teams perform consistently. Drawing on decades of naval and operational experience, he explores how reliability depends on more than technical skill. It also depends on leadership, culture and the choices people make every day.

It is a maintenance and leadership book, not a petroleum trading manual. Its connection to ABC is the operating philosophy behind it: disciplined work, informed decisions and personal responsibility.
